But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
2 Corinthians 4:7 (KJV)
Do you know who you are? Stop, think about it—the real you, do you know you? You are a phenomenon! You are full of potential. What is known about you and what you can do cannot be compared to what you have inside. That is the thing about potential, they are undiscovered abilities. I am certain, you do not even realise how much potential you carry. Do you understand you are a living moving miracle? And, indeed, you are the next key to your breakthrough. Yes, you!
Look a little further and deeper than what you see in the mirror. Your greatness is not only about your physical appearance, not your skin tone or complexion, not the slant of your eyelids, nor the fullness of your lips. Your greatness does not stem from your background, DNA, education or class. Your greatness is what lies within you: The treasures God has deposited in you. The combination of your potentials, talents, gifts, abilities and how you employ them. God made you, He equipped you to function powerfully, you are fully furnished for greatness
Just imagine a machine, let’s even say a robot, a humanoid. Let’s say that the maker wanted a robot so powerful that it could move and lift anything, fly at the speed of light, and be indestructible. He would go to the drawing table and design it to have those capabilities. The engineering would be for its functional purposes. Do you know you were created? You were created by God! Not to be a robot, but to be a functional and successful human.
Now, let’s carry our imagination a little further. If you were that robot or humanoid, and you had control, how much permission would you give yourself to be supersonic? Imagine also that you were built to be self-operated (every instrument needs an operator), how much of your innate power and ability would you use? My guess is that you’d go all out. I know for sure, I would want to test my strength, I would want to function at my highest capacity.
Now, I am not saying you don’t have limitations, you are only human after all. But, I feel it is bad enough that all humans have to deal with imperfection, but it is worse for you to allow your personal weaknesses and mental limitations to destroy your potential. Do not be one of those imprisoned in the cage of their shortcomings. Do not let the gloom and bars keep you locked down. In spite of those few negatives, you can let your positives glow. Never let failure dim your light! The tendency to focus on the bad and downplay the good in our lives is a rampant speciality. Under the guise of modesty, many have demeaned their greatest qualities. You need to appreciate yourself. You need to esteem everything that makes you unique. Who believes in a weapon that is substandard? Until you do so, you cannot become your instrument of breakthrough.
Something struck me from this popular Bible verse: Psalms 139:14. It says; “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” David knew something. That knowledge gave him the courage to see possibilities, exploit opportunities and live! He believed in himself. He understood that he was a key to his breakthrough.
You are a force! You are an instrument for breakthrough. You have what it takes to be the best, discover and recover!
