Colossal! (XII)

Destiny is about journeys.
Christmas day is around the corner. By Godβs grace we will celebrate and feast. There would be much laughter, singing and dancing. πππ₯³ππΎπΊπ©βπ€
It is my hope that we would not lose sight of the reason for the season!
Without Christ, there would be no Christmas. I am not talking in the mundane sense, nah. On this Christmas Eve, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the Son of God too had to embark on a journey, to fulfil His destiny. I sometimes try to imagine what played out in His mind. At first it may have looked like an adventure. He may have been like βWhy not, if not? What is the big deal about taking up flesh and becoming like a mere mortal?β π Next, He may have asked βWhy me?β Why should He be the one to suffer? π Then, at some point it would have hit Him, (as it did on the cross), that this was not going to be a joke. π«
He had hundreds of years to back out (remember He is God and knows the end from the beginning) but He decided not to. He chose to make this journeyβto earth and to our hearts. It’s amazing: the King of Kings came as a πΆπΌ baby, to live in human body and die a horrid death!
What journey have you embarked on? What destiny are you creating? Paul has a few words of advice to keep us on the right path: βSo if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ – that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective. Your old life is dead. Your new life, which is your real life – even though invisible to spectators – is with Christ in God. He is your life. When Christ (your real life, remember) shows up again on this earth, you’ll show up, too – the real you, the glorious you.β (Colossians 3:1-4).
In other wordsβ¦.βπ½βπ½βπ½
A. Act like you know your destiny is the sum total of your journeys. That means you should make sure all your ventures are meaningful.
π π π π
B. Put your energy into the things that align with Godβs will. The conclusion of all human strivings and struggles is vanity, so connect to the true Rewarder who can make your efforts eternally relevant.
π π π π
C. Do not be myopic and small minded. There is a lot more to life than βyouβ and what is happening to you, learn to see the big picture. Stop shrinking your circle!
π π π π
D. Tune up your spiritual sensitivity. Be led and fed by the Spiritβthat way you will always enjoy a vantage position of divine direction and assistance.
π π π π
E. Maintain your new status in God. You are now empowered to live life to its fullest (because God lives in you), do not settle for less. You are more than what your current realities are telling you about yourself. Rise up!

Do you know Jesus did all those? He understood His mission to earth> He chased after His purpose> He was never myopic, never> He was very sensitive and submissive to the Spirit and > He never forgot who He was in God.
The journeys you chose to take, how you take them, and what you make of them will affect your greatness.
