About Manuela Izunwa
Helping people to see possibilities
Have you ever met a multi-gifted leader who is beautiful, funny, full of wisdom, warm-hearted and yet, down-to-earth? Manuela Izunwa is that one! Having bagged a first degree in Law, she proceeded to the Nigerian Law School and was successfully called to bar in the year 2000. She is an exceptional administrator, skilled at problem solving, conflict resolution and emotional intelligence. As an ardent learner and one who is passionate about personal growth and development, she holds a Master's degree in public administration and is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Administration.
Barrister Manuela Izunwa is a member of several organisations, amongst which are; Nigerian Bar Association(NBA), International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC), and also a fellow of the Mentoring and Career Development Institute of Nigeria (MCDI).
One very fascinating thing about Manuela Izunwa is that she is a politician of great repute. Having served from 2007 - 2009, as the Honourable Commissioner of Women Affairs who advocated for and pioneered positive change in the way women are valued and cared for within the society, she currently serves as a member of the board of National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA).
Manuela Izunwa is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of three non-governmental organisations: Girls' Organisation for Leadership and Development (GOLD), Boys' Organisation for Leadership and Development (BOLD), and Deborah's Cradle - a Faith based NGO aimed at raising leaders and impactful mentors. Via Deborah's Cradle (DC), Manuela Izunwa has inspired and influenced many women in ministry as well as women in leadership. She also convenes the annual Women in Ministry Stretch Summit and the Possibilities Conference for women in leadership. With over two decades of experience as a pastor's wife and leader, she provides counselling, mentoring and training services for people, especially the young and the female gender. She is a prolific writer, detailed teacher of God's Word, a trainer and an inspiring speaker.
Pastor Manuela Izunwa is married to George Izunwa - the Lead Pastor of Gateway International Church and Convener of Impact Ministers Mentoring Outreach. They make their home in Port Harcourt, Nigeria and are blessed with three biological children Michelle, Mirabel and Mickel.
It is worthy of note that Manuela Izunwa is an excellent business woman. She is the proprietress and executive director of Sitrid Schools, a thriving nursery and primary school in Port Harcourt - Nigeria, committed to raising whole children who would be great leaders of their society. She also owns a technical and environmental services company - KNAPPS Integrated Services.
Manuela Izunwa is a lover of people and loves life in its fullness. Her earnest desire is to help people see possibilities and enjoy sound spiritual, physical, emotional and mental health. She has authored a number of books namely; Backside of the Mountain, A Night in the Boat, Overcoming Self-doubt, Stretch, Don't Die in Your Nest, the Woman and Her Worship, and others.
