DEMAND FOR GRACE FROM GOD TO FINISH WELL
Demand may seem like a strong word; however, it shows desperation. I need grace! You need it too! It is important to come to the realisation that your best intentions and your well-laid-out plans will amount to nothing without God. That one started well does not guarantee success. What can be said of you who may not have started (or done) as well as you should have ab initio? Looking back at the year, you may see your mistakes, missed opportunities, shortcomings and personal contributions to the incapacitation of your life—which could be your procrastination, laziness, fear, or stubbornness. These may make you feel like a failure. You may be flogging yourself for messing up. It could be that you are given up on yourself. Perhaps you are discouraged and disillusioned, but there is hope.
I want to introduce you to a force that never fails. When it is activated, it boosts our capacity and introduces the extra zing that makes for success. It is called GRACE. The grace of God is the one-stop solution to all our human limitations (whether self-induced, physical or demonic). Once grace steps in, everything changes. Jesus’ discussion with Paul settled that; He said to him “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). Somehow when we stop depending on ourselves, people, systems and begin activating grace by prayer, God-dependency and faith we find that we are able to enter new dimensions of impact and success than we could ever imagine.
Grace is a force that never fails. When it is activated, it boosts your capacity and introduces the extra zing that makes for success.
So, ask for grace!
Beg for help!
Demand for it!
Tell God that you will be a wreck without it.
Go, get it!
“Let us, therefore, come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16). It is from God’s grace we find mercy and specific help for every time of need. We need to cash in on God’s magnanimity and draw the benefits. From here on, His grace can make a difference. You may have disappointed God, your family, and yourself, but grace can turn it around. Do not let anything keep you away from the Throne of Grace; not your sin, not your judgement and definitely not your accusations.
Our acceptance (or non-acceptance) of grace will determine the quality and impact of our lives on earth and, furthermore, will determine our destination after life.
So, choose grace!
