4 ways to show up when you are late(Part II)

SHOW UP WITH WORTH AND DISPLAY YOUR SUBSTANCE
After failing to show up, you need to show up. And, please, do not show up as a misfit, like someone who God made a mistake about. He did not! He fully equipped and blessed you with everything that you need to succeed in life. Notwithstanding the fact that you left things fallow, you still have value. Demonstrate it.
Let’s go back; what is your life aspiration? Or, let’s go zoom in further, what was your goal for this year? Did you pray for anything? Did you write resolutions down? Did you consider your available resources to begin with? How many of them were innate? I am talking about your gifts, talents, skills, abilities and so on. They may be dormant, but not dead: “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable” (Romans 11:29).
Your gifts may be dormant, but they are not dead.
God is not quick to change His mind about you. He is patient and tolerant. Do you know that there is a reward for unfruitfulness in destiny and in the Kingdom? The branches that do not bear fruit are cut off and burned! “He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful… If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned”. (John 15:2,6) But Jesus is not in a hurry to cut us off. No! Hear: “But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfil his promise as some count slowness but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance” (2 Peter 3:8-9).
Every day we live is another opportunity God has given to demonstrate what He put in us and what He put us here for. Late as you are, still display His providence. You are His choice for ‘the now’ do not frustrate His purpose.
Every day we live is another opportunity God has given to demonstrate what He put in us and what He put us here for.
So, what do I advise you do?
- Re-evaluate your abilities
- Re-focus on your assignment
- Re-emerge decked up for action—and take action. You have it in you!
